Sand fencing traces it root back to the earliest of days along the Carolians Coast. Many of my earliest memories of the beach occur in the month January when my grandfather would take me riding to the beach. there we would see allt he freshly "planted" christmas trees forming the most rudamentry of sand fences. While some people are still using this method, most rely on the sand fence for its proven ability to trap sand and build dunes.
