Coastal Transplants along with the Army Corp of Engineers designed a plan for Kure Beach to help replenish the beach and prevent future erosion. After a large dredging project and dune restoration, Coastal Transplants planted 60,000 Sea Oats along the newly constructed dunes of Kure Beach. The plan also included returning in November to plant 40,000 American Beach Grass to further fortify the dunes and help prevent erosion.
